'Gambeila' is a large, centrally-heated, fully modernised seaside house nestling in a large garden on the Shore Road in the sleepy village of Innellan at the southern end of the Cowal Peninsula. The house sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms and there is also a sofa bed. It has a large, modern kitchen with fully integrated appliances (washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge and freezer) with separate dining room. Like many rooms of the house, the sitting room and attached sun lounge have the most spectacular views over the Islands of Cumbrae, Bute and Arran, down to Ailsa Craig. There is a long games room/bedroom on the upper floor of the house and a private putting green within the grounds of 'Gambeila'.
There are golf and tennis clubs within walking distance and cycle and walking tracks along the shore and in the forested hillside behind. 'Gambeila' has its own fair-weather yacht mooring with yacht rental and sailing instruction available. There are numerous other local activities such as excellent quad biking and adventure boat rides aboard a fast rib through a the maze of surrounding sea lochs. The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park is just a few minutes' drive away with great walking routes, including into the Arrochar Alps and beyond. This part of Argyll has many art galleries with exhibitions by local artists and other crafts for sale.
Despite the tranquility of the village, 'Gambeila' is easily accessed from Glasgow's International Airport and motorway network via a short, 20 minute ferry crossing from Gourock, or by a spectacular 2 hour drive from Glasgow along the 'bonnie banks' of Loch Lomond and over the 'Rest and Be Thankful' pass. After the pass, driving down the south side of Loch Fyne, there are great views of Inverary and the final stretch of the journey winds alongside the beautiful Loch Eck before arriving in Dunoon. Innellan is just 4 miles south of Dunoon.
